Theology - The Church
and the Bible
● The doctrines and practices of the modern day Bible-based church have
virtually no foundation in scripture and were established by the Roman
Emperor Constantine in the 4th Century AD.
● This work presents
thousands of biblical verses showing the complete contradiction between
the practices of the Bible-based church and the teachings of the Bible.
● The King James Bible
is replete with mistranslations and is severely restricted by the limited
vocabulary of the obscure language in which it was written and requires
strict attention to the original words to understand their true meanings.
● The 15 books known as the
Apocrypha are no longer in the Bible, although they were published in the
original King James Bible and included as late
as 1885, and the church does not accept the inspired nature of many books
mentioned, but not included in the Bible.
● Though, completely ignored by
the church, there are literally hundreds of writings associated with the
Bible which are listed in this work, with links to the majority of these
books online for personal research.
● The structure, purpose, and
actions of the first church established by the Apostles after the death of
Jesus bears no resemblance to any modern day religion.
● The service to
community, which Jesus emphasized, and which is the core of original
church practice, is only a token effort, while church structure and
maintenance, staff salary, condemnation, intolerance, political
persuasion, and self-promotion of the beliefs of the church now dominate
its existence.
● The vibrant, hopeful,
and wondrous nature of the truths found in scripture are completely hidden
behind an agenda dominated by the balancing of fear and incentive
motivation using the false concepts of Heaven and Hell to control the
people.
● The concepts found in the Bible do much to reinforce the fields of
alternative thought, while rejecting the dogma found at the very core of
accepted religious wisdom.
