A simple study of the
actual events that led up to the War for Independence, The Revolutionary War by
the original 13 Colonies, will show that it was the first protest against the
largest global corporation of the time, the East India Company. The East India
Company had received permission from the Crown to import massive amounts of
surplus tea from Ceylon into the Colonies, without tariffs. At the time, some
10,000 individuals, growers, and merchants were involved in the colonial tea
market, making it the largest force in the economy. This action, if allowed to
succeed, would have had a devastating impact on the social structure, caused
widespread unemployment, and given British corporations a stranglehold on the
fledgling economy. It was not, as Americans have been taught, a protest against
"taxation without representation" by the British government. It was a protest
against an aggressive and powerful global corporation, which was attempting to
control an entire section of a social structure. The war occurred, when the
British government attempted to back the corporate take-over with military
force.
In the 230 years since the "Boston Tea Party:" global
corporations have gradually taken almost complete control of the United States
government and its citizens. The very action the first Americans fought against
and, that gave us our valued freedom has been allowed to occur in almost every
sector of our modern society. We are the nation our founders fought to prevent
us from becoming. This has resulted in the most corporate-controlled
Administration, Senate and House of Representatives in our history.
It will not change by simply shuffling the political parties in
control of the federal and state administrations and the legislatures. It will
only occur, when the system is reformed to reverse and prevent corporate control
over any sector of our society.
Nothing less than the freedom and principles
that are the foundation
of this nation are at stake.
Presented here, are
just a few of the more important documents, which are being eroded and, may soon
be completely void of purpose or effect if corporations are not stopped:
The Constitution
of the United States
The Bill of Rights
of the United States
The Constitutional
Amendments
The Declaration of Independence
of the United States
