Foleygate - The Matrix in Action While we watch the fantasy unfold about Foleygate, the scandal over abuse of House of Representative pages, we find solid reinforcement for our concept that our society is living in a matrix created by the media, which is controlled by the corporations. See:"The Matrix" Let's consider a completely bizarre element that no one seems to have noticed in the Foley scandal; logic. Joe Smith, average citizen working as an office manager in Apex Inc. is caught trying to lure a 16 year-old boy to meet him for drinks after strong sexual innuendos through email contact. Law enforcement authorities are informed and know that it is a violation of federal law to use the Internet to solicit sex from anyone under 18 years of age, with punishment up to 30 years in prison. Federal authorities enter the scenario and after Joe admits he did commit the crime he is arrested and charged with being a sex-offender, and jailed. This is logical. Mark Foley, an above-average citizen, elected as a Representative for the State of Florida is caught trying to lure a 16 year-old boy to meet him for drinks after strong sexual innuendos through email contact. Law enforcement authorities are "not" informed by House leadership, who know that it is a violation of federal law to use the Internet to solicit sex from anyone under 18 years of age, with punishment up to 30 years in prison. Federal authorities enter the scenario, only after the scandal breaks, and Foley admits he did commit the crime. He is "not" arrested, charged with being a sex-offender, and jailed. This is "not" logical. To add to the surreal
nature of this event, no serious attempt has, yet, been made to have Foley
arrested. The response of the Republican leadership, who were obviously
complicate in a cover-up of his scandalous and immoral activities for, as long
as, five years is unbelievable. They are not being charged with conspiracy to
withhold evidence of a federal crime; they are being praised by the President
for their swift action in investigating the crime. Laura Bush praised
Representative Reynolds as "a wonderful leader for New York," even though he is
strongly tied to the cover-up of Foley's actions. They are refusing to take any
responsibility for their lack of action and, instead, they and their
conservative supporters are dodging the issue with everything from "tip lines"
for abused House pages to Rep. LaHood proposing to end the page program
altogether. Foley's attorney is even saying the Florida Representative is not a
pedophile. Meanwhile Foley is
running for cover by entering an alcohol rehabilitation center, even though his
closest associates inform authorities he is not an alcoholic. He is also
claiming he was molested as a teen even though he never mentioned it before and
has not named his molester or where he was abused. Conservatives are actively engaged in trying to "shoot the messenger" by claiming it was a plot by the Democrats to win the mid-term election by discrediting the Republican leadership, just a month before it occurs. No mention is made that their lack of action could not possibly have been caused by conspiring Democrats. Perhaps the worst attempt
to dodge responsibility is coming from a complete bizarre scenario being spread
by the media. Matt Drudge is insinuating that this may have been part of an
on-line prank that ended up in the hands of scheming Democratic operatives. Fox
News even completely misrepresented Foley's political affiliation by labeling
Foley as a Democrat. The story is yet
unfolding, but anyone with an alcohol level below .2 or an I.Q. above 20 could
see the web of deceit is already being spun. The current actions of the
Congress attest to the fact that "duck and cover" is at the top of agenda and
that the "fix is in" to get the Republican leadership "off the hook". |
