Why do Jesus and the Apostles he directly
taught say to reject the world and its influences?
The world is evil.
Galatians 1:4
Who gave himself for our
sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the
will of God and our Father:
Dark and evil entities on the planet.
Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against
flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers
of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Philosophy and tradition hide the truth.
Colossians 2:8
Beware lest any man spoil
you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the
rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Friendship with the world is against God.
James 4:4

Don't love the world.

Love not the world, neither

Hate from the world should be expected.
