The Killing Must Stop!
The World's Super Powers are Completely "Mad" and Absolutely "Nuts"
MAD
Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD) is
the doctrine of military strategy in which a full scale use of nuclear weapons
by one of two opposing sides would result in the destruction of both the
attacker and the defender. This is what governments claim keeps the peace among
nations with nuclear weapons.
NUTS
Nuclear Utilization Target Selection
(NUTS) was a strategy developed during the Cold War as a means for one world
nuclear power to achieve victory against another world nuclear power. To be
victorious, the attacker had to destroy the target country's nuclear arsenal in
a massive first strike. The ability to do so would then have given the attacker
superiority in the nuclear arms race and relieve them from the threat of mutual
assured destruction (MAD).
This stark reality was predicted by Jesus:
"For then shall be great tribulation,
such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever
shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be
saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." (Matthew
24:21-22)
In the above verse the word
"tribulation" is translated from the Greek word 'thlipsis', pronounced thlip'-sis,
meaning; pressure (literally or figuratively). No doubt the threat of total
annihilation of all life on the planet is the greatest stress ever put on
humanity, and that did not occur until August 6, 1945, when the first atomic
bomb was dropped on Hiroshima.
The nuclear threat is just one of the ongoing
destroyers of human life on this planet:
· Armed
conflicts cause 300,000 deaths worldwide every year.
· During
2004, over 3,700 people were executed in 25 countries and at least 7,300 people
were sentenced to
death in 64 countries. 97 per cent of all executions took
place in China, Iran, Viet Nam and the USA.
· During
the Twentieth Century the deaths of 188,000,000 were caused by the following
causes
Genocide and Tyranny: 83,000,000
Military Deaths in War: 42,000,000
Civilian Deaths in War: 19,000,000
Man-made Famine: 44,000,000
· Between
1930 and 1999 there were 71,000,000 tobacco-related deaths in developed
countries. (US, Europe,
USSR, Canada, Japan, Australia, NZ)
· Abortions
resulted in an estimated 520 to 830 million deaths of the unborn worldwide,
between 1920 and 2000.
· There
were 8.5 million murders worldwide between 1900 and 1999
· The
toll of racism in the United States resulted in 3,300,000 excess deaths from
1900 to 1970.
· 98,000
Americans die unnecessarily every year from medical mistakes made by health care
professionals.
· 440000
deaths worldwide are caused by hazardous substances annually.
· Asbestos,
alone, is responsible for the deaths of some 100,000 workers worldwide every
year.
· Earthquake
prediction ignorance
· The
planet's history of human habituation is filled with wars and conflict:
"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for
all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." (Matthew 24:6)
Since Columbus landed on the east
coast of the Americas, there have been 578 wars worldwide or, over one per year,
on average. There have already been 14 wars since the turn of the milennium, and
there are 24 ongoing wars and armed conflicts, on the planet, at the time of
this writing. And, there is enough saber rattling going on now to keep those
numbers growing for decades to come.
